We are moving to a completely new location and exploring an entirely new festival formula to ensure that this year summer does not go by without us sharing the festival atmosphere with you, but is done in a safe, secure manner, preventing the spreading of coronavirus. We will hold a much smaller, ticketed affair in the hopes that next year's festival will be a magnificent return to the Pol'and'Rock we all know and love - a massive meeting of people from all over the world.
The most important change in the formula of our festival is scaling back its size. We are going from a 700 000 strong audience to 20 000 fully vaccinated participants (except a group of 250 non-vaccinated people, as stated in the most recent governmental regulations). What is more, we had to cut down on the number of stages - from the five impressive stages, we went to two. In addition, to cover the cost of COVID-19 testing, we decided to launch the sale of festival entry passes. The passes have been sold out in record time, enabling us to purchase testing equipment and supply all festival-goers with personal protection items, such as face masks and disinfectant liquids.
The Festival line-up had been revamped to account for travel restrictions. The booking team at the Festival worked hard to create a vibrant set of homegrown talent and even managed to secure some great international acts such as the tantalizing Morgane Ji, experimental Slift, and avant-garde Igorrr. Dubioza Kolektiv - darlings of the festival audience will be returning to Pol'and'Rock for the third time. It is important to note that most artists featured in our initial line-up confirmed their shows at the 2022 edition of the festival!
The complete line-up is available in our app, so make sure to see what acts you'd hate to miss this year. There are also other important festival dates and opening times:
Saturday, 31.07. 2021
What did Szymon Chwalisz paint this time on the guitar created for the Pol'and'Rock Festival? Whose faces will we see on this piece of musical art? Will there be another record at the guitar auction during the 30th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and what does the airbrush have to do with it?
Music festivals are all about living in a moment, but the memories we all make when enjoying our time at Pol'and'Rock will shape us for the years to come. Many people say that their festival experience charges their batters for an entire year...so why not relive the best moments from the festival yet again?
''We took the bull by the horns!'' - admitted Jurek Owsiak, president of the Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy Foundation, during a press conference, just before the first concerts took place on the Main Stage. Although the 27th Pol'and'Rock Festival officially started on Thursday, July 29, at the beginning of the week, the Academy of the Finest of Arts opened to festivalgoers with a whole arsenal of its events, concerts and workshops.
